Diurnal, Male builds bower of sticks, courts a series of females each of which then builds a nest, incubates the eggs and raises the young on her own

Forest Woodland Wetlands Stone Country, Pockets of vine scrub; paperbark and eucalypt thicket in woodland and open forest.

Breeding

August to February. Nest is falt coarse loosely constructed cup of twigs in the branches of trees or shrubs. One to two greyish-green eggs, tracery of lines. Incubation by female, only one brood a season.
